Corn DKS 4712 is a versatile, high-yielding hybrid of mid-late maturity with a dent kernel type. It is characterized by high adaptability and plasticity, allowing successful cultivation in all natural-climatic zones. The hybrid features a strong stalk and robust root system, providing resistance to overcrowding and enabling it to withstand prolonged drought. Due to its good water shedding and drought tolerance, DKS 4712 demonstrates stable yields even under unstable moisture conditions and adverse weather. The recommended plant population at harvest depends on moisture levels: 70-75 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture, 60-65 thousand under unstable conditions, and 50-55 thousand in dry conditions. The hybrid is suitable for conventional, minimal, and No-tillage soil management, with optimal soil temperature for sowing starting at 8°C. DKS 4712 is tolerant to monoculture and compatible with most pesticides, facilitating weed control and promoting healthy stands. The ear of corn has a medium ear attachment height, 24-26 cm in length, and 5-5.5 cm in thickness, containing approximately 20 rows of kernels with 48 kernels per row. The hybrid’s potential yield reaches 18-23 tons per hectare, while actual yield is around 142 centners per hectare.
