Luigi CS is a medium-early simple hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 250, characterized by high yield and stability. Plants reach an average height of about 260-270 cm, with ear stalks up to 260 cm long and ear attachment height of about 100-110 cm. The ear has a weakly conical shape, about 22 cm long, with cream-colored, yellow-orange kernels and high starch content. The hybrid is characterized by an initial growth energy level of 7, 16 rows per ear with 34 kernels per row, and a 1000-kernel weight of about 280 g. The potential yield reaches 135.6 centners per hectare, with dry matter harvest potentially reaching 213 centners per hectare, with maximum values up to 338 centners per hectare.
Luigi CS exhibits high resistance to a wide spectrum of diseases and adverse weather conditions. It demonstrates excellent resistance to early lodging, lodging during harvest, common rust, regrowth ability, and phytosanitary status, ensuring reliable and stable yields. The hybrid also shows high drought resistance and resistance to spring frosts, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones.
Luigi CS plants have a strong root system and a Stay Green effect, which helps maintain the health and activity of corn until the end of the vegetation period. The hybrid is suitable for various cultivation technologies, including conventional tillage, minimum tillage, and No-till. Due to its characteristics, Luigi CS is widely used in Europe and Ukraine, especially in systems oriented towards producing high-quality silage and stable yields.
