Description SY AMFORA
SY AMFORA — this is a mid-early maturity corn hybrid with FAO maturity group 260, developed by the SYNGENTA seed brand. It is intended for silage and biogas production, making it an excellent choice for obtaining nutritious feed and energy-rich biofuel. The hybrid has a silica-type grain and medium-plastic adaptability, ensuring stable plant development under various climatic conditions. Recommended growing zones include Polissia, forest-steppe, as well as central and northern steppe regions of Ukraine.

The hybrid demonstrates high potential for green mass yield — from 550 to 750 centners per hectare — as well as high dry matter content. Green mass has starch content ranging from 34.4–38.2%, protein — 6.3–6.5%, lactation energy 6.6–7.1 MJ/kg, and digestibility of 74.5–75.4%. Rapid early growth and high cold tolerance allow plants to successfully withstand spring temperature fluctuations. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to root and stalk rot, aerial smut, and other diseases, which enhances crop reliability.

To achieve maximum productivity, planting should be conducted at optimal early dates when soil temperature reaches +8–10°C at seed burial depth. Early harvest also helps preserve the quality of green mass. The hybrid is well-suited for modern agronomic technologies and adapted to cultivation across various climatic zones, making it a universal and effective solution for farmers focused on feed and biofuel production.
