The sweet corn hybrid Mavka is a medium-maturing hybrid with FAO 320, characterized by high adaptability and resistance to various climatic stresses. Plants reach a height of 220-250 cm, with an ear length of 21-23 cm and a row number of kernels ranging from 14 to 18. The 1000-kernel weight varies between 300-350 g, with dent kernels. The potential yield reaches 12 tons per hectare at harvest moisture level of approximately 16.5%. The recommended planting density depends on the region: for Polissia — 85 thousand plants per hectare, for Forest Steppe — 75-80 thousand, for Steppe — 55-60 thousand.
The hybrid Mavka has several advantages that make it attractive for farmers. It is characterized by cold and drought resistance, allowing successful cultivation under various climatic conditions in Ukraine. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to such diseases as common smut and Fusarium stalk and ear rot, as well as to root and stalk lodging, including damage caused by pests. This ensures the stability and plasticity of the hybrid, enabling its use in various cultivation technologies.
Mavka is suitable for cultivation under traditional and minimum tillage systems, as well as in monoculture. Seeds are treated with Vitavax 200 and Vitazim to enhance protection and germination. Sowing can be conducted at soil temperatures as low as 8°C, expanding the sowing window and increasing the flexibility of agronomic practices. Seeds are grown in Ukraine under the supervision of the company AGROLIFE UKRAINE, ensuring high quality and reliability of the product.
