Corn hybrid Kharkovskaya 523 MV is a medium-early hybrid with FAO around 280-290, developed by breeders of the Institute of Plant Growing named after V.Ya. Yuryev. Plants reach a height of 220-250 cm, have 16-17 leaves, and cylindrical ears about 22-26 cm long, located at a height of approximately 80-95 cm. Grain is dent-shaped, yellow-orange, with 1000 grain weight of about 280-290 g, containing about 9% protein. The ear is completely covered by husk, with a red silk and well-developed tip. Grain yield is about 79-85%, ensuring high potential yield up to 11-11.2 t/ha.

The variety is characterized by good drought resistance and high cold tolerance, confirmed by a rating of 4.7 points. It is tolerant to diseases such as stalk rot, ear rot, and powdery mildew, and resistant to damage by corn borer at standard levels. Vegetation period varies depending on the growing zone: approximately 110 days in the steppe zone, 124 days in the forest-steppe, and 131 days in the Polissya region. Grain moisture at maturity ranges from 23.9% to 30.6%.

Kharkovskaya 523 MV is recommended for cultivation in various soil-climatic zones, including steppe and forest-steppe regions. Seed production is conducted on a sterile basis with full fertility restoration. Corn is treated with the fungicide "Inshur Perform," providing effective disease protection.
