GOLDEN EAR 147 MV

GOLDEN EAR 147 MV is a three-line hybrid corn, intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Volga, and East Siberian regions. The hybrid is distinguished by its early maturity and high yield, making it versatile for use as grain or silage. The plant is tall, reaching 190-250 cm, with a 1000-grain weight of 260-315 g and a grain yield of up to 85%. The grain has an intermediate type with distinctive coloring: the upper part is yellow, and the lower part is yellow-orange. The hybrid is resistant to major corn diseases such as downy mildew and gray leaf spot, as well as pests like the corn stalk borer.

The ears are conical-cylindrical in shape and size, measuring 16-20 cm in length and weighing approximately 200 g. The kernels are orange-yellow and have good flavor qualities in milk-woody maturity, making the hybrid suitable for table consumption and canning. High content of vitamins and macro- and microelements provides additional nutritional value. Recommended sowing dates are April-May with seed depth of about 4 cm, and harvest is conducted from June to September.

The hybrid producer is the breeding and seed company "Golden Ear", specializing in the development of domestic corn and sunflower seeds. The main goal of breeding work is to improve water use efficiency and reduce FAW, which helps adapt hybrids to various climatic conditions in Russia. The "Golden Ear" hybrid line includes ten variants with FAW ranging from 130 to 340, all of which are universal and suitable for both grain and silage production.
