VK 153-1 MV is an early-maturing three-line hybrid corn developed by Kazakh breeders from the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Crop Science and the company JSC 'Golden Ear'. The hybrid is distinguished by high cold and drought resistance above average, making it versatile for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The vegetative period ranges from 78 to 108 days, and plant height varies from 166 to 210 cm. The ear is cylindrical in shape with 14-16 rows of kernels, each row containing 31-37 kernels, ensuring high grain yield — up to 85%.

The hybrid is intended for both grain and silage production, expanding its application in agriculture. The grain has a siliceous type with reduced harvest moisture, facilitating storage and processing. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 260 to 290 grams, and the protein content in the grain reaches 8.3%. Grain yield varies depending on region and growing conditions: on average, it reaches 40.5 centners per hectare, while the yield of normalized dry matter amounts to approximately 49.7 centners per hectare.

The VK 153-1 MV hybrid exhibits resistance to drought, lodging, as well as infection by blister and dusty smut, ear diseases, and corn stalk borer. The recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: 80-90 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and approximately 70 thousand under dry conditions. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality corn harvest.
