Maize VK 153-1 MV

Reliable Yields Across Diverse Conditions

The VK 153-1 MV hybrid from SSC "Zolotoy pochatok - Pavlovsky" is a three-line hybrid engineered for high-quality grain and nutritious silage production. Developed by breeders Yuri and Vladimir Sotchenko, this hybrid combines excellent adaptability with consistent performance, ensuring harvest security even under fluctuating environmental stressors.

Agronomic Potential and Resilience

The primary advantage of this hybrid lies in its robust genetic defense system. It demonstrates significant resistance to common smut and the European corn borer (Crambus). By minimizing the impact of these common threats, the hybrid allows farmers to optimize their crop protection programs, significantly reducing the reliance on costly chemical applications.

• Grain Type: Flint, providing excellent grain density and commercial quality.
• Usage: Versatile dual-purpose hybrid for both grain and silage production.
• Planting Density: 70,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare, depending on moisture availability.

The flint grain characteristics of VK 153-1 MV contribute to a higher test weight, making it highly suitable for both livestock feed and commercial processing. The recommended cultivation strategy suggests 70,000–75,000 plants per hectare for extensive farming systems, while intensive operations with irrigation can push the density to 80,000–90,000 plants per hectare for maximum output.
