Maize ES CROSSMAN

French breeding for stable yields

The EC Crossman hybrid from Euralis Semences is an example of a classic European approach to intensive farming. As an early-maturing simple hybrid, this maize variety bred in France has established itself as a versatile solution for farms focused on both grain production and high-quality silage harvesting.

Adaptability and Protection

The main engineering challenge met by Euralis breeders when creating EC Crossman was the combination of high yield potential with biological hardiness. With a vegetation period of 90 to 100 days, this hybrid fits perfectly into climatic conditions where a fast start and predictable maturity are required. Of particular note is its genetic resistance to common smut, which allows for a significant reduction in fungicide applications and minimizes crop losses in the field.

Technological Features

• Grain type: flint-dent, which ensures a balance between storage density and rapid moisture release during maturation.
• Application: the flexibility of use allows the farmer to decide on the harvest direction shortly before harvesting, depending on market conditions.
• Crop health: breeding is focused on tolerance to common pathogens, including specific diseases characteristic of intensive cultivation areas.

EC Crossman remains in the brand's portfolio as a reliable "workhorse" for farmers who value predictable results. Its reputation is built on stability even under moderate stress conditions, making it a preferred choice for fields with varying agro-technical levels.
