ES CROSSMAN — this is a simple hybrid of sugar corn, which stands out for its stable high yield when grown under various climatic and soil conditions. The hybrid shows good resistance to lodging and high tolerance to common corn diseases, particularly to common smut. Thanks to these qualities, ES CROSSMAN is suitable for cultivation in regions of Ukraine such as Polissia and forest-steppe, as well as in northern and western parts of the country.
Plants of this hybrid reach a height of approximately 295 cm, with an ear attachment height of about 120 cm. The kernels have a ribbed-toothed shape, and the ear core color is pink. Approximately 26 kernels form in one row, with the number of rows ranging from 14 to 16. The thousand kernel weight is 304 grams, indicating good quality seed material.
ES CROSSMAN belongs to the early-maturing hybrids with the Stay Green type, ensuring a prolonged vegetative period and retention of green mass. For optimal corn development, the sum of temperatures required is 6 °C: 860 °C until flowering, 1440 °C for silage with 32% dry matter, and 1670 °C for grain at 32% moisture. These characteristics make the hybrid a versatile and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable sugar corn yields.
