Maize Ronin

Ronin is a modern hybrid corn variety developed by VNIIS, which quickly gained the trust of Ukrainian farmers due to its outstanding characteristics and high adaptability. This mid-season hybrid with a maturity group of FAO 330 is distinguished by high yield and drought resistance, ensured by a strong root system capable of effectively utilizing minimal soil moisture reserves. Ronin grows successfully and develops well under various climatic conditions, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine, and also adapts well to different soil types, including less fertile and structurally complex soils. The plants of the hybrid reach a height of about 230 cm, with an ear attachment height of 83 cm. The ears have an ideal shape, uniform grain filling, and high thousand-grain weight, ensuring high-quality harvest and competitiveness in the grain market. The average yield of the hybrid is 12.5 t/ha, with a potential yield reaching 18 t/ha. Due to high resistance to major diseases such as common rust, helminthosporiosis, and fusarium, the need for agrochemicals is reduced, simplifying crop care and increasing the ecological safety of production. The Ronin hybrid also features strong stalks and low ear attachment, which facilitates harvest and reduces losses when using large agricultural machinery. Its versatile use includes the production of grain, silage, biogas, and bioethanol, making it a profitable choice for farmers oriented towards diverse uses of corn. High plasticity and resistance to stress factors allow effective cultivation of this hybrid in various agroclimatic zones, ensuring stable and high yields.
