DMC Alliance

DMC Alliance — a medium-maturing hybrid of sweet corn, developed by MAIS and intended for grain cultivation. It belongs to the FAO index group 290 and has a vegetation period ranging from 112 to 115 days depending on the climatic zone. The hybrid is adapted to various agro-climatic conditions in Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe, ensuring its wide application in agriculture. Plants reach a height of approximately 230 cm, with ear attachment at 95–110 cm, facilitating harvest. Ears have a conical-cylindrical shape and contain 14–18 rows of bright yellow, dent-type kernels, ensuring high quality and ease of milling. The DMC Alliance hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 150 ц/га in forest-steppe and Polissia regions and approximately 111 ц/га in steppe conditions at 14% grain moisture. It exhibits high drought resistance, stress tolerance, lodging resistance, and disease resistance, including resistance to smut and pests such as the corn borer. Thanks to its high cold tolerance and ability to grow vigorously at low sowing temperatures (from +8°С), the hybrid is suitable for early planting. Additionally, it demonstrates rapid moisture loss during the ripening stage, which facilitates timely harvest and reduces yield loss. Recommended planting density varies by region: 70–80 thousand plants per hectare for Polissia, 60–70 thousand for Forest Steppe, and 45–50 thousand for Steppe. This adaptability allows for optimized agronomic practices and increased production efficiency. DMC Alliance is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high-quality corn yields under various climatic conditions.
