Description DKC5190
Hybrid sweet corn DKC5190 is a medium-late, simple, double-row hybrid with a vegetative period of about 109 days and FAO 470. The plant is of medium height — from 260 to 300 cm, with a strong stalk and semi-erect leaves of yellow-green color. The ear attachment height is 95–110 cm, and the ear itself has a cylindrical-conical shape, 20–25 cm long and 5.0–5.5 cm in diameter. The kernels are dent-type, colored in yellow-orange shades, indicating a medium kernel type. DKC5190 features high stalk strength and good resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to pathogens such as common rust and ear fusarium. The 1000-seed weight is approximately 330 g, contributing to high productivity — average grain yield reaches 75.2 c/ha, with a record of 120.4 c/ha. The hybrid is adapted to various growing conditions and especially responsive to irrigation. The recommended plant population before harvest varies depending on climatic conditions: 40–45 thousand plants per hectare in dry zones and 60–65 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered zones. DKC5190 is intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region (zone 6), where it demonstrates high productivity and resistance to adverse factors.
