LG31388 corn is a mid-late maturing dent-type hybrid developed by the European company Limagrain. This hybrid is distinguished by high grain quality and stable yield, making it popular among farmers in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions. High initial growth energy and adaptability to different soil types ensure a wide cultivation area and resilience to diverse conditions.
The LG31388 hybrid exhibits high tolerance to major diseases such as powdery mildew and fusarium, as well as drought and lodging resistance. Plants reach a height of approximately 251 cm, have 16-18 rows of kernels with about 38 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 275 grams, and the FAO rating is 360, corresponding to a mid-late maturing period. The hybrid’s yield is rated at 8 points, with high water-use efficiency.
To achieve optimal results, seed density should be adjusted according to moisture conditions: 70-75 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered zones, and 60-70 thousand in drier zones. Due to its ecological plasticity and stable cob formation, LG31388 is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality grain yields.
