The hybrid corn P8816 is a simple yet high-yielding variety with a dent kernel type and high plasticity. It is characterized by stability and reliability, providing a high yield potential under optimal growing conditions. The plant is of medium height, around 260 cm, with a strong stalk and high ear attachment at 90-100 cm above ground, contributing to good lodging resistance. The hybrid can form two ears, further increasing yield.

P8816 exhibits excellent tolerance to major corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, stalk rot, fusarium, and scab diseases, including aerial and blister scab. It inherits high drought resistance and tolerance to other stress conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in areas with insufficient moisture. The hybrid is treated for seed protection, providing additional defense against diseases caused by monoculture. Early and optimal planting is recommended; late planting is not advised.

The hybrid P8816 is well-adapted to minimal soil tillage and suitable for late harvest. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture zone: in well-watered zones — 70-87.5 thousand plants per hectare, in moisture-deficient zones — 60-65 thousand plants per hectare. The sum of effective temperatures for maturity is approximately 2400 °C at 30% grain moisture, with a FAO maturity group of 300, corresponding to an average maturity period of about 90 days. Due to its characteristics, hybrid P8816 is suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine, ensuring a stable and high yield.
