Artua

Artua is a mid-season hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 270, distinguished by high yield stability and adaptability to various climatic conditions. The plant is tall, reaching 250-290 cm in height, with a conical-cylindrical ear shape and 16-20 rows of kernels. The kernels are yellow, dent-type, with a 1000-kernel weight of 260-310 g and starch content of 72-76%. The ear attachment height is 100-120 cm, facilitating harvesting and improving grain quality. The hybrid exhibits excellent drought and cold tolerance, enabling successful cultivation across various regions of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. Additionally, Artua possesses high resistance to diseases, pests, and lodging, significantly reducing yield loss risks and enhancing yield stability. Recommended planting density varies by region: 50-60 thousand plants per hectare in the Steppe zone, and 70-80 thousand in Polissia. Artua is suitable for both grain and silage production. Potential grain yield ranges from 13-13.5 t/ha, while silage yield reaches 48-76 t/ha. The hybrid performs well under dense planting, especially in the Forest Steppe zone, where it demonstrates high productivity and silage quality. Due to its biological traits and resilience, Artua is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable corn yields.
