Maize CORN 447 MV

Corn hybrid Kadr 447 MV is a medium-early three-line hybrid with FAO index 260, developed by Ukrainian selection and included in the State Register since 2001. The plant reaches a height of 220–250 cm, characterized by weak bushiness and high resistance to lodging and stem breakage. Approximately 16 leaves form on the main stem, and the ear, 21–23 cm long, has a cylindrical shape with a well-ribbed tip, containing 16 rows of kernels with 36–40 kernels per row. The kernel is yellow and dent-shaped, with a 1000-kernel weight of 230–260 g depending on growing conditions. Hybrid Kadr 447 MV is recommended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe zones, and the Polissia region, where it demonstrates high grain yield — 12.5–13.0 t/ha — and silage mass — 45–60 t/ha. Optimal planting density varies by region: 45–50 thousand plants per hectare in steppe areas to 80–85 thousand in Polissia. Corn exhibits moderate drought and cold resistance, as well as high resistance to major diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for farmers under various climatic conditions in Ukraine. Corn Kadr 447 MV is widely used for both grain production and silage, serving as an important forage crop with high digestibility and nutritional value. Corn kernels contain significant amounts of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and microelements, making it a valuable food product and raw material for the food industry. Additionally, corn improves crop rotation by clearing fields of weeds and serving as an excellent predecessor for subsequent crops.
