Maize KALUPAS

German Breeding for Culinary Excellence

The «Kalupas» maize hybrid from the German selection giant KWS represents a highly specialized approach to sweet corn cultivation. Unlike forage or grain hybrids, this variety was developed by Kws Saat engineers with a single purpose: to deliver flawless organoleptic qualities required for the fresh produce and processing markets.

Agronomic Profile and Key Features

Its German origin speaks to the rigorous standards of stability and quality. «Kalupas» belongs to the premium segment of sweet corn. Its hallmark is the vibrant, bright yellow kernel color, which remains stable even after thermal processing — a critical factor for canned food producers and major retail chains.

• Primary Use: Fresh sweet corn. The hybrid shows excellent marketability, meeting the high demands of the vegetable produce sector.
• Genetic Potential: Built upon KWS's extensive research into kernel structure, ensuring a tender pericarp and high sugar content.
• Field Performance: As with most KWS developments, «Kalupas» demonstrates vigorous early growth, allowing the plant to thrive even under fluctuating spring weather conditions.

The reputation of KWS as the breeder and patent holder of «Kalupas» ensures that the grower receives not just seed, but a proven technological solution. Market-oriented farms choose this hybrid for its ability to produce a stable yield of uniform, high-quality cobs. The appealing kernel color draws the end consumer, while the superior taste ensures high rates of repeat purchases.

This hybrid is perfectly suited for operations where mechanized harvesting and pre-sale preparation are essential. «Kalupas» by KWS is a choice for professionals who prioritize product quality on the supermarket shelf above all else.
