The hybrid corn DnOd 417 MV is a medium-early three-line variety with FAO 280, intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The plant is tall, reaching 250-260 cm in height, and does not bush, which simplifies care and harvesting. The ear has a conical-cylindrical shape, about 22 cm long, with 18 rows of kernels and 42 kernels per row, attached at a height of 90 cm. The kernels are yellow and dent-shaped, making the hybrid versatile for use both as grain and silage.
DnOd 417 MV is characterized by high resistance to adverse factors: lodging, cold tolerance, drought, diseases, and pests, receiving ratings of 8-9 points for these traits. The potential grain yield reaches 13.5-14.0 tons per hectare when the recommended pre-harvest plant density is observed, which varies depending on the cultivation zone. The hybrid seeds are coated with a biostimulator and an eco-friendly paint free of polymers, enhancing their germination and protection, and are packaged in paper kraft bags of 25 kg.
The hybrid DnOd 417 MV is developed for intensive cultivation technologies and can compete with imported varieties in terms of yield and grain quality. It effectively sheds moisture during ripening, facilitating harvesting and reducing losses. Due to its characteristics and adaptability to stressful conditions, this hybrid is an optimal choice for corn producers aiming to achieve high and stable yields.
