Description COTLASSKY
Cotlassky red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) is a single-cut legume grass intended for cultivation in northern regions of Russia, such as the Murmansk Region, the Republic of Karelia, and the Republic of Komi. This variety is characterized by medium stem length and thickness, weak pubescence, and the presence of numerous plants with white markings on the leaves. The inflorescences are red, and the seeds are multicolored, which is a characteristic feature of this variety. The flowering time for the Cotlassky variety is average, allowing for effective use in the region's agronomic cycles.

The Cotlassky variety demonstrates high dry matter yield, reaching an average of 46.6 centners per hectare, which exceeds standard indicators by 2.5 centners. Despite susceptibility to clover rust, this variety has good winter hardiness and resistance to other diseases, making it a reliable choice for northern conditions. The variety was developed to increase seed productivity and adapt to the harsh climate, confirming its stability and effectiveness in seed breeding.

The creators of the variety are the research institutions of FGUP "Cotlasskoye" and the Federal Research Center for Potato named after A.G. Lorikh. Thanks to long-term breeding work, the Cotlassky red clover variety has become an important element in the development of agriculture in northern regions, providing quality feed raw materials and contributing to the development of seed breeding in the Arctic and North of Russia.
