MERRY LADY

Chrysanthemum variety 'Merry Lady' belongs to the large-flowered group and is characterized by tall plants reaching 120 to 160 cm in height with sturdy flowering stems and medium foliage. The leaves are large, green, with a heart-shaped base, giving the plant a decorative appearance. The flower heads are densely double, large, with a diameter of 19 to 22 cm, featuring a curly semi-spherical shape and expressive coloration: paleo-red with a bronze reverse, as well as terracotta inner flowers with bright yellow diffuse stripes and a moderately orange-yellow outer side. The flowers do not shed or fade, ensuring long-lasting decorative appeal.

The variety 'Merry Lady' is classified as a late-blooming type, with flowering beginning in the second week of November and lasting from 36 to 42 days. Thanks to its resistance to diseases and pests, as well as moderate drought tolerance and hardiness, this chrysanthemum is suitable both for greening and for cut flowers. The cutting productivity ranges from one to three flowers per plant, making the variety in demand for floristry.

For successful cultivation of 'Merry Lady', it is recommended to provide the plant with light-loving conditions, but during hot weather, flowers should be protected from direct sunlight. The soil should be moist and nutritious, which promotes good growth and development. During the growing season, it is important to remove old and diseased leaves, and tall plants are better tied up to prevent wind damage.
