Chrysanthemum WHITE LAGOON

A classic of Crimean breeding for your garden

The «Belaya Chayka» (White Seagull) chrysanthemum is a benchmark of reliability from the experts at the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Unlike imported greenhouse hybrids that are sensitive to temperature swings and require sterile conditions, this variety is adapted to the harsh realities of open soil. It is a sturdy choice for professional growers and gardeners who value consistent results over seasonal trends.

Why choose this variety

• Uncompromising hardiness: High frost resistance allows the plant to survive winters with minimal protection. You won't face the frustration of losing your plants after a single bad winter.
• Universal geometry: Thanks to the combination of pompon and decorative flower shapes, the blooms look dense and full, maintaining their aesthetic appeal even after heavy rains.
• Versatility in use: The variety is equally impressive in indoor floral arrangements, as a potted plant for patios, or as a key element of landscaping.

Strengths and considerations

The main advantage of «Belaya Chayka» is its predictability. The plant height (ranging from medium to tall) allows for multi-level compositions in borders. However, it is important to note that to achieve maximum flower diameter (nearing 10 cm), the variety requires proper pruning and timely maintenance. Without control, the bush can become excessively dense, which may slightly reduce the size of individual blooms.

Who is this variety for? For those who seek longevity. If you are planning to cultivate flowers for bouquets or simply want a garden that doesn't require constant, high-maintenance effort, this development from the NBS-NNTs RAS will be a staple in your collection. This is not a "one-off" Dutch bouquet, but a long-term investment in your landscape.
