Yellow Princess Anna / Princess Anna żółta

Chrysanthemum 'Princess Anna Yellow' is a perennial bushy plant belonging to the Asteraceae family, developed by English breeders in 1951. The plant reaches a height of 50 to 100 centimeters, forming strong, densely leafy, and well-branched stems with medium-sized dark green leaves resembling oak leaves in shape. The flower heads are flat or ray-shaped, anemone-like, with a diameter of 13-16 centimeters, and exhibit a variety of shades — from golden-yellow to lavender-pink, cream, and terracotta. Flowering begins in September and continues until November, making this variety one of the latest-blooming chrysanthemums.

'Princess Anna Yellow' is versatile in application: it is excellent for cut flowers as well as for container cultivation. Cut flowers retain freshness for 10-12 days, ensuring high decorative value indoors. The plant is highly productive — approximately 47 flower heads can be obtained per square meter, and 20-25 cuttings per mother plant. Additionally, the variety exhibits good resistance to diseases and adverse conditions, as well as high transportability of cut flowers.

Care for 'Princess Anna Yellow' is simple: it prefers sunny locations, requires regular watering, and well-drained, fertile soil. The plant is sensitive to photoperiod and temperature conditions, so optimal conditions must be maintained for successful cultivation. In regions with cold winters, chrysanthemums are grown as annuals or overwintered in pots in cool, bright rooms with minimal watering. It is possible to attempt overwintering the plant outdoors with protection, although additional frost protection is required.
