Chrysanthemum Buzkoviy Rai

Technical Potential of the 'Buzkovyi Rai' Chrysanthemum

Developed by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, the 'Buzkovyi Rai' (Lilac Paradise) variety is a bush chrysanthemum specifically adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine. The plant is engineered to balance compactness with high bloom intensity, a critical factor for professional landscaping and commercial container cultivation.

Morphological Parameters and Bush Architecture

The plant height ranges from 30 to 60 cm. This compactness allows for efficient use in container gardening, ensuring consistent decorative quality without requiring heavy pruning to maintain shape. The pompon-style inflorescences, with a diameter of 5–10 cm, provide a distinct advantage for floral arrangements: the dense petal arrangement ensures excellent transportability and longevity when cut.

Agrotechnical Specifications

• Light Requirements: The variety exhibits optimal purple pigment saturation when cultivated in open, sunlit locations. Inadequate light levels significantly impact inflorescence density.
• Planting Cycle: The optimal window for planting is during the summer months. This schedule allows the plant to establish a robust root system before the onset of lower temperatures.
• Versatility: Due to its medium height, 'Buzkovyi Rai' is suitable for both open ground and pots/planters, making it a highly functional tool for landscape designers.

Technically, this variety integrates resilience to external environmental factors with high aesthetic value, establishing it as a sought-after solution for professional floriculture.
