Chrysanthemum Kyivska Rus

'Kyivska Rus': Ukrainian Excellence in Chrysanthemum Breeding

Developed at the M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden, the 'Kyivska Rus' chrysanthemum is a prime example of a 'multiflora' variety engineered for resilience. Unlike delicate greenhouse hybrids that require precise lighting and chemical intervention, this variety thrives by leveraging natural hardiness. It is specifically bred to withstand local climate fluctuations, making it a reliable choice for outdoor cultivation where other varieties might succumb to the elements.

Distinctive Features and Advantages

• Natural Symmetry: The plant naturally develops into a dense, perfect sphere, eliminating the need for complex pruning or manual pinching to maintain its shape.
• Extended Bloom Time: The intense yellow flowers maintain their vibrancy for over 40 days, acting as a beacon of color in the garden long after most perennials have faded.
• Versatile Placement: Whether as a centerpiece in a landscape design, a focal point in a patio planter, or a cut flower for arrangements, its root system and structural integrity make it highly adaptable.

For the gardener seeking efficiency, 'Kyivska Rus' is a standout. It thrives in sunny locations with minimal maintenance requirements. Its faint fragrance ensures that the focus remains entirely on the vivid yellow aesthetics rather than overwhelming scents, making it a sophisticated addition to any garden space. While it requires sun to reach its full potential, its high cold tolerance provides peace of mind throughout the colder months.

Ideal for: Gardeners who demand professional-grade aesthetic results with low-maintenance requirements, as well as landscapers looking for a consistent, hardy yellow accent plant.
