Chrysanthemum AZURE COAST

A Legacy of Far Eastern Selection

The «Azure Coast» (Lazurny Bereg) chrysanthemum is the result of extensive breeding work conducted at the Botanical Garden-Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, under the guidance of Alevtina Ivanovna Nedoluzhko. This variety embodies an academic approach to floriculture, prioritizing both aesthetic appeal and environmental adaptability. In professional circles, it is recognized as a staple bush chrysanthemum that maintains genetic consistency and predictable growth patterns.

A Visual Accent for the Garden

The primary feature of this hybrid is its striking color profile. Despite its name, which evokes maritime imagery, the variety dazzles with a complex palette, blending rich reds, purples, yellows, and oranges. The spider-type inflorescence gives the bush a sense of airy lightness, despite its impressive stature. With a stem height exceeding 60 cm and a flower diameter of over 10 cm, «Azure Coast» is a quintessential accent plant for landscape design.

• Blooming Period: The flowering phase lasts for over 40 days, making it an essential late-season garden performer.
• Bush Structure: Being a tall variety, it requires strategic placement to ensure proper sunlight and support for its heavy, voluminous blooms.
• Garden Application: Ideally suited for tiered flower beds, where the large spider-shaped flowers can showcase their unique form against more modest foliage.

The variety's reputation is built on reliability. Developed within a rigorous scientific framework, it offers stability in performance, a crucial quality for professional landscape architects and collectors planning long-term planting schemes.
