"Osinnii Blues" is a product of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. For a grower, this variety represents a high-maintenance crop that requires professional attention to detail. It is a large-flowered bush chrysanthemum, meaning the focus must be on structural support and metabolic management.

Cultivation and Maintenance

• Stalk Stability and Support: The plant grows to 60+ cm in height, bearing blooms of 10+ cm in diameter. This architecture creates significant leverage, making staking an absolute requirement. Without proper support, the stems will collapse under the weight of the massive orange heads, especially during damp November weather.
• Nutrient Requirements: This is an intensive variety. To ensure the flower reaches its full 10+ cm potential, regular application of potassium and phosphorus is essential during the budding stage. Inadequate nutrition will result in undersized blooms.
• Seasonal Risks: Blooming in November is a high-stakes cycle. Field cultivation is limited by the risk of early frosts. For commercial cut flower production, using greenhouses or protective tunnel covers is the standard operating procedure to prevent frost damage and maintain the marketability of the blooms.

Operational Benefits

This variety serves as a late-season anchor for any floral layout. Its deep orange hue provides a necessary color contrast in the garden when most other perennials have already entered dormancy.
