Chrysanthemum BABIE LETO

Agricultural Application and Utility

The «Babye Leto» chrysanthemum, developed by the Botanical Garden-Institute of the FEB RAS, is designed for both professional cut-flower production and aesthetic landscaping. Its versatility makes it a practical choice for growers focusing on high-quality floral retail.

Key Operational Features

• Cut Flower Performance: With a bloom diameter of 5–10 cm and durable stems, this variety provides excellent shelf-life in vases, making it a viable commercial asset.
• Visual Versatility: The mix of yellow, red, and purple hues combined with pompon and anemone-like flower shapes allows for diverse arrangements in commercial floristry.
• Growth Requirements: To achieve optimal bloom size, the plants must be placed in full sun. Being scentless, the flowers are highly suitable for indoor events and commercial venues where strong fragrances might be undesirable.

In farm management, this variety is valued for its low maintenance requirements. While it thrives in open, sunny locations, it provides consistent results without the need for complex pruning. Whether utilized as a solitary ornamental plant in a garden setting or harvested for professional bouquet work, «Babye Leto» demonstrates structural integrity and consistent bloom shape.
