The Carnival Chrysanthemum is a semi-double plant with daisy-like flowers measuring 6-7 cm in diameter. The flowers feature delicate shades of pink, lilac, and purple on the top, with white petals underneath and a bright yellow open center. Mature bushes reach a height of 40 to 60 cm and a diameter of about 40-50 cm, making them attractive for single planting as well as for arranging mixed flower beds, borders, and containers. Blooming begins in late July and continues until September. Successful cultivation of the Carnival Chrysanthemum requires loose, fertile, and well-drained soils with a neutral or weakly alkaline reaction. The plant prefers bright light but requires light shading during the hottest hours of the day to avoid overheating. The optimal temperature for growth and flowering is between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius; at higher temperatures, flowering becomes less abundant and shorter in duration. Chrysanthemums tolerate coolness and fresh air well, so for home growing it is recommended to place them on a balcony or regularly ventilate the room. Care for the chrysanthemum includes regular abundant watering, keeping the soil moist without waterlogging, as well as periodic misting to maintain leaf cleanliness. Watering is best done in the evening so that the leaves have time to dry by morning. The plant needs frequent fertilization, to which it responds well, as well as the removal of faded stems to stimulate further flowering.
