SPANCA BRYANSKAYA

The Shpanka Bryanskaya cherry is a high-yielding, medium-sized tree with a rounded-oval or round crown, reaching a height of about 4 meters. This variety is characterized by good winter hardiness, tolerating frosts down to -30 °C, but it is sensitive to late frosts. The tree is resistant to fungal diseases and other ailments, which ensures stable fruiting and high yields.

The fruits of Shpanka Bryanskaya are of medium size, weighing from 4 to 6 grams, and have a flattened-round shape with a maroon-brown or light-red skin. The flesh is dense, juicy, creamy or dark red in color, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste. The berries withstand transportation well, making them suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for preserves and wine making.

The variety is self-sterile; therefore, to ensure successful pollination and increase yield, it is recommended to plant other cherry or sour cherry varieties nearby. Fruiting begins in the fifth year of the tree's life, with the ripening period occurring in late June to early July. Due to the combination of high yield, resistance to adverse climatic conditions, and excellent taste qualities, the Shpanka Bryanskaya cherry is popular among gardeners.
