Description Shiny Turovtsi
Cherry saplings of the Turovtsi variety — a Ukrainian medium-early maturing variety developed by the Institute of Horticulture of NAAN. The fruits are heart-shaped and dark red, with an average berry weight of 8–10 grams. The flesh is red, dense, and sweet, making this variety particularly suitable for canning. The cherry is characterized by high yield, which, when proper agronomic practices are followed, is regular and stable.

The Turovtsi variety withstands winter frosts and drought well, possesses high resistance to pests and diseases, significantly simplifying tree care and enhancing their survival. For improved fruiting, it is recommended to plant pollinator varieties such as 'Yaroslavna', 'Alenushka', and 'Droghana Yellow'. Saplings are suitable for cultivation in Ukraine’s climatic conditions.

The optimal time for planting cherries is spring, although the planting hole should be prepared in autumn, enriched with fertile soil. It is important to correctly choose the size of the planting hole depending on soil type, provide necessary nutrients and watering, and protect the young tree’s root system from pests. Whitewashing one-year-old trees is not required. The Turovtsi cherry variety is characterized by high yield and stable fruiting, with dark pomegranate-colored berries that are juicy, tender, and free of acidity, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption and preservation.
