The variety was obtained by selection from seedlings of open pollination of the 'Samorodok' variety. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding. Authors: A.F. Kolesnikova, M.V. Mihayeva, E.N. Dzhigadlo, T.A. Trofimova, A.V. Zavyalova. Registered in the State Register in 2006 for the Central Chernozem region.
Medium-growing tree, up to 3 m tall. Crown is wide-rounded, spreading, drooping, medium density. Shoots are medium, straight, brown, bare. Bark on the trunk and main branches is smooth, brown. Leaf is oval-shaped, dark green. Apex is sharply pointed, base is pointed, wedge-shaped, serrated edge. Leaf blade surface is smooth, matte, concave, curved downward. Stipules are green, located at the base of the leaf and on the petiole. Petiole length is 20 mm, thickness 2 mm, petiole pigmented (with anthocyanin coloration). Bud is 3 mm, conical shape, tightly attached to the shoot. Number of flowers in inflorescence is 4. Corolla diameter is 21.5 mm, open. Petals are white, touching each other. Stigma is positioned higher relative to the anthers. Stigma length is 11 mm, anther length is 9.8 mm. Calyx shape is narrow-cup-shaped, calyx lobes are not serrated. Fruits borne on cluster branches.
Fruits weigh 3.0–3.5 g, flat-spherical, height 12.4 mm, width 14.4 mm, thickness 14.0 mm. Fruit depression is wide and shallow, apex is rounded. Fruits are dark red, flesh is dark red, medium density, juicy, juice is dark red. Pedicel length is 40 mm, average thickness 0.5 mm. Stone is round, weighing 0.21 g, which constitutes 7.0% of fruit mass, dark yellow color, apex rounded, base rounded, separates well from flesh.
Fruits have attractive appearance, rated 4.2 points, flesh is juicy, sour-sweet, good taste. Taste evaluation of fresh fruits is 4.1 points. Fruits contain 15.0% dry matter, 11.12% sugars, 1.71% acids. Variety is for table use. Medium detachment from pedicel. Fruits are resistant to cracking.
Flowering occurs at medium time (May 15–20). Fruit ripening occurs early (July 24), simultaneously. Enters fruiting at age 4. Tree longevity is high with proper agrotechnical practices. Variety is partially self-fertile. Winter hardiness of the tree is high, flower buds are medium. Relatively resistant to coccomycosis, not resistant to moniliosis.
Average yield is 58.6 centners per hectare, maximum 103.9 centners per hectare. Variety has high productivity rating in regions of the middle belt of Russia, suitable for industrial, hobby cultivation, and breeding purposes (early ripening, good fruit quality).
Advantages: early ripening, good fruit flavor.
Disadvantages: susceptibility to moniliosis.
