This variety was developed at the NIISS named after M.A. Lisavensky in the mountainous region of the Altai (Chemal village) by selecting seedlings from open-pollinated seedlings of the Ulmus ssp. Author: V.S. Putov, T.M. Pletneva (Tsipetsaver), Y.G. Temberg. Included in the State Register in 1976 for the West Siberian and Ural regions. Currently, it is rarely distributed.
Trees are medium-sized with a pyramidal, moderately dense crown. The main type of fruiting branches are bunches. Branches are gray, emerging at a sharp angle from the main branches. The trunk is low. Shoots are thin, straight, greenish-olive, with few small tubercles. Vegetative buds are conical, fruiting buds are rounded. Leaves are medium-sized and small, elongated-romboid with a strongly curled tip, green. Leaf blade is slightly concave, without hairs, with a pointed base and finely toothed edge. Leaf petiole and main vein acquire a pinkish hue in the second half of summer. Buds contain 2-3 flowers, which bloom before the leaves. Flower corolla is cup-shaped, white, petals white.
Fruits are angular-round, 28 mm high and 30 mm in diameter, weighing 12-16 g, deeply divided at the base by a prominent ventral groove. Main color is orange, covering skin is dark red, covering the entire fruit, with numerous small subcutaneous dots and a slight bluish waxy coating, rough, with noticeable bitterness. Flesh is pale-yellow, loose, fibrous, juicy, with refreshing acidity, good flavor. Stone is medium-sized, oval-shaped, well-formed, smooth, half-detached and easily detaches from the flesh. Peduncle is short, easily separates from the fruit.
Fruits ripen early — first decade of August. Fruits contain dry soluble substances — 12-17%, sugars — 12.1-13.6%, titratable acids — 1.3-1.9%, tannins — 0.52-0.65%, ascorbic acid — 3-14 mg/100g, P-active substances — 270 mg/100g. Variety is universal-purpose.
Begins fruiting on the 3rd-4th year after planting in a garden with one-year-old seedlings. High yield, relatively regular fruiting. High winter hardiness of the tree, fruit buds — above average. Not resistant to fruit rot, moderately resistant to clasterosporiosis. Fruits may be significantly damaged by fruit worm and severe Maslov's seed beetle. Variety is self-sterile.
Offspring obtained with this variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, good yield, diverse fruit color, often with bitter skin.
