"Vnuchka" Carrot: A Unique Choice for Early Harvest

The "Vnuchka" carrot variety from the Sedek brand is a distinctive root vegetable that defies the typical expectations of elongated carrots. Developed by a team of originators led by Sergey Dubinin, Irina Dubinina, and Anatoly Lukyanenko, this variety stands out due to its unique physical characteristics. Instead of the traditional conical shape, "Vnuchka" produces neat, rounded roots that look more like a radish or small beet.

Why choose this variety?

• Early Maturation: With a growing season of just 60–70 days, it is a perfect solution for obtaining high-quality early harvest produce when the market is otherwise sparse.
• Convenient Size: Each root weighs between 50 and 80 grams, making them perfectly portioned for immediate use and ideal for processing with minimal waste.
• Growth Technology: The variety is exceptionally well-suited for cultivation under film, allowing growers to bring their harvest dates forward to the very beginning of the season.

Who is this variety for?

"Vnuchka" is a discovery for those who value aesthetics in the garden and convenience in the kitchen. Its round, orange roots are highly marketable, making them a great choice for farmers targeting the premium restaurant segment or HoReCa. However, one must consider its specific use case: unlike late-maturing varieties, "Vnuchka" is not designed for long-term storage. Its primary value lies in fresh consumption and quick processing.

Whether you have limited garden space or simply want to experiment with unusual vegetable shapes, this Sedek variety will deliver results through its low-maintenance growth and rapid harvest cycle.
