TAURIDA is a mid-season hybrid of table carrot intended for cultivation in the Central region. It features a semi-loose rosette of medium-length leaves with green coloring and a finely to medium-cut form. The root has medium length, cylindrical shape with a slight taper and a slightly pointed base, corresponding to the Berlikum/Nantes type. The core and peel are a rich orange color; root mass varies from 98 to 185 grams, ensuring ease of harvesting and transportation.

The TAURIDA hybrid is distinguished by high taste qualities, rated as good and excellent. Dry matter content in roots is 12.0%, total sugar is 7.5%, and carotene content reaches up to 19.0 mg per 100 grams of raw product, making the carrot nutritious and healthy. Yield of the hybrid during trials varied widely from 34.7 to 79.9 tons per hectare, with an average yield of 53.2 t/ha. Marketable yield matches the standard Nantes 4, ranging from 192 to 347 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 774 c/ha recorded in the Moscow region.

The marketable product recovery of the TAURIDA hybrid reaches 75-78%, indicating high efficiency of land use. Due to its characteristics, this hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions of the Central region, ensuring a stable and quality harvest. High carotene and sugar content makes TAURIDA carrot not only tasty but also beneficial for health, which is especially important for consumers oriented towards natural and nutritious products.
