Carrot Shakira F1

Professional choice for long-term storage

The «Shakira F1» carrot hybrid from Gavrish is designed for commercial vegetable growers targeting the winter and spring markets. Belonging to the Chantenay type, this hybrid offers high adaptability to various growing conditions, ensuring reliable results in both intensive agricultural enterprises and standard farming plots.

Growth and Harvesting Efficiency

With a maturation cycle of 115–120 days, «Shakira F1» fits perfectly into late-season production schedules. The conical root shape, measuring 17–19 cm in length, is optimized for both mechanized harvesting and manual labor, minimizing crop damage during collection. The deep orange color remains vibrant, which is a critical factor for retail appeal.

Economic Impact and Storage

The primary value of this hybrid lies in its exceptional storage life, reaching up to 7 months. This allows producers to avoid low seasonal prices and sell their crop during the peak-demand spring season. Key benefits include:

• High uniformity of the root crops, which drastically reduces post-harvest sorting and grading costs.
• Advanced resistance to typical carrot diseases, developed through Gavrish breeding programs.
• High density and structural integrity, ensuring the carrots survive long-distance logistics without bruising.

For the best results, we recommend sowing in well-aerated, loose soils to allow the roots to develop their characteristic conical shape fully. «Shakira F1» is a strategic asset for any farm looking to maximize profitability through high-quality winter supply.
