Carrot Naomi

Czech Precision in Carrot Breeding: The «Naomi» Hybrid

The «Naomi» carrot, developed by the Czech company Moravoseed, represents a hallmark of the Nantes type. Designed for commercial growers who prioritize consistency and aesthetic appeal, this hybrid has earned its place in the market by bridging the gap between high yield and premium retail quality. In a sector where visual perfection is key, «Naomi» provides the uniform geometry required for high-end fresh produce markets.

Performance and Agronomic Profile

With a growing period of 95–100 days, this hybrid offers the flexibility needed for mid-season harvest planning. Its success is rooted in a focus on predictable, high-quality output:

• Uniform cylindrical shape, which ensures minimal loss during automated post-harvest processing;
• Standard length of 16–18 cm, fitting perfectly into modern pre-pack specifications;
• Deep orange coloration that maintains visual quality throughout shelf life, essential for competitive retail environments.

The Moravoseed breeding program behind «Naomi» ensures robustness and adaptability to various soil types, provided standard agronomic practices are followed. The density and structure of the roots make them highly resistant to mechanical harvesting damage, significantly reducing cull rates. For producers looking for a balanced solution between ease of cultivation and high marketability, «Naomi» remains a dependable choice for large-scale production aimed at the fresh produce sector.
