Carrot Galaxy

Reliable Yields for the Fresh Market

The Czech carrot variety "Galaxy" by Moravoseed is a strategic choice for growers targeting retail and supermarket channels. The primary value of this variety lies in its high marketability combined with a predictable growing period of 105–110 days, allowing for precise scheduling of harvest and supply logistics.

Field Performance and Agrotechnics

As a classic Nantes-type carrot, "Galaxy" meets the strict requirements of modern consumers. For the farm manager, this translates into several operational advantages:

• Consistent Geometry: The cylindrical roots reach 18–20 cm in length, which is optimal for mechanized harvesting and ensures minimal breakage during washing and packing processes.
• Visual Appeal: The vibrant orange color persists even after storage, and the smooth skin texture reduces waste during post-harvest handling.
• Adaptability: Bred by Moravoseed, this variety demonstrates excellent plasticity, performing reliably across various soil conditions when proper agronomic practices are applied.

The practical application of "Galaxy" is particularly beneficial for operations focused on high-quality washed produce. The uniform dimensions of the roots simplify the calibration process on sorting lines, directly impacting operational efficiency. When grown with adequate nutrition, this variety produces a high percentage of first-class marketable yield, significantly improving the profitability of the crop.

Farmers often favor "Galaxy" because it balances high yields with excellent taste, characterized by a sweet flavor and tender texture. This makes it highly competitive in retail environments, where quality perception drives repeat purchases throughout the season.
