Carrot KUPECHESKAYA

Technical Profile of 'Kupecheskaya' Carrot

The 'Kupecheskaya' carrot variety by 'Vashe Khozyaystvo' is a selection-bred solution focused on long-term storage and stability of commercial performance in intensive farming systems. With a maturity period of 90–100 days, this variety falls into the mid-season category, allowing for efficient harvest scheduling.

Root Morphology and Engineering

The primary technical feature of 'Kupecheskaya' is its specific root geometry. The conical shape ensures an optimal distribution of nutrients and pulp density throughout the length of the root, minimizing the risk of splitting during mechanized harvesting.

• Weight Characteristics: A weight range of 120–150 grams is the industry standard for retail and food processing sectors.
• Coloration: The deep orange pigment indicates a high concentration of carotenoids, which correlates directly with cellular wall strength and overall quality.

Agronomic Value for Storage

The originator, OOO 'Vashe Khozyaystvo' (breeder A.V. Kudryashov), prioritized storage potential in this variety. The dense root structure significantly reduces moisture transpiration in storage facilities, preventing premature wilting and the development of pathogenic microflora during winter months. For the agronomist, this translates into minimized weight loss and the ability to release stock during peak market price windows.

When managed with proper planting density, 'Kupecheskaya' produces highly uniform roots that meet strict grading requirements. It is a reliable choice for operations that prioritize yield preservation and consistent output for the fresh market.
