Carrot Lasoshchi dlia hnomiv

A 2025 Breeding Breakthrough

The carrot variety "Lasoshchi dlia hnomiv" (Gnome Treats) represents a fresh perspective in Ukrainian plant breeding, officially registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2025. Its development is the result of dedicated work by breeders led by Zhanna Mykolaivna Vovk. In today's market, where farmers seek a balance between yield and technical efficiency, this hybrid offers a unique morphotype adapted to Ukraine's specific climatic conditions.

Morphological Features and Field Performance

The plant's appearance distinguishes it from classic varieties. "Lasoshchi dlia hnomiv" features very long leaves with fine dissection, ensuring efficient photosynthesis. A key characteristic is the absence of anthocyanin coloration in the petioles and high resistance to bolting, which is critical for maintaining the marketability of the roots until harvest.

• Shape and Structure: The roots have a nearly triangular shape with a flattened shoulder and a slightly pointed tip. The surface is orange with moderate color intensity and weak ribbing.
• Internal Quality: The core and phloem share an identical orange color, providing an aesthetic appearance when sliced. The core diameter relative to the total root diameter is large, indicating a dense structure.
• Agronomics: The variety shows a minimal tendency for the shoulder to turn green, eliminating the need for deep hilling.

"Lasoshchi dlia hnomiv" is not just another hybrid, but the result of meticulous selection aimed at achieving stable yields with predictable parameters. Thanks to its genetics, this variety is well-suited for intensive vegetable farming, where high marketability and resilience to adverse environmental factors are paramount.
