Description CARDAME
The cultivated carrot 'Cardame F1' is a late-maturing hybrid of German breeding by the company SAATZUCHT QUEDLINBURG GmbH. This variety is distinguished by a semi-spreading rosette of dark green leaves with a relatively dissected shape. The root crop has a conical shape with a blunt tip, 18-20 cm in length, and a dark orange color. Average fruit weight varies from 69 to 152 grams, ensuring a stable yield of 3.0–3.8 kg per square meter.

The hybrid 'Cardame' is designed for a wide range of uses: it is excellent for fresh consumption, long-term storage, canning, and processing into juices. The carrot flesh is juicy, sweet, and possesses an exceptionally pleasant taste, making this variety in demand for both home and industrial cultivation.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow in very moist soil, avoiding overcrowding. Optimal sowing times are late April or early May; winter sowing is also possible at a depth of 2-2.5 cm with a row spacing of 20 cm. To improve germination, seedlings are desirable to be covered with film until seedlings appear. After seedlings appear, two thinning operations are carried out: the first one leaving 1-1.5 cm between plants, and the second one two weeks later with an increased distance of up to 4 cm.
