Cabbage MIZUNA SALAD

Japanese culinary excellence

Salad Mizuna from Marutane is the gold standard of Japanese leafy mustard, having gained global popularity for its delicate texture and rapid growth. Unlike more pungent varieties, this Japanese classic offers a mild, refreshing flavor with subtle peppery undertones, making it a favorite in modern cuisine.

Agronomic performance

• Ultra-early harvest: With a maturation period of just 30–40 days from transplant, this variety is perfect for succession planting, allowing growers to maximize yield throughout the season.
• Marutane Breeding: Japanese genetics ensure uniform leaf rosettes and impressive resilience to the environmental stressors typical of early spring and autumn production cycles.
• Fresh Market Ready: The product is specifically developed for the Fresh Market segment. The leaves retain their crispness and shelf-life, which is critical for pre-packaged salad mixes and retail distribution.

Mizuna has become a staple of modern culinary trends where visual appeal is paramount. Its deeply serrated, feathery leaves are highly decorative, making them a premium choice for high-end restaurants. By choosing this variety, producers can supply a crop that is not only packed with nutrients but also serves as an aesthetic highlight in any salad application.
