Cabbage Curly is a tall leafy kale variety that reaches heights from 60 to 120 cm. The leaves of this variety are large, deeply ruffled and curly, with a rich purple-violet hue, giving the plant a decorative and attractive appearance. Thanks to its bright coloring, Curly is excellent not only for consumption but also for decorating flower beds and garden compositions.
This variety is characterized by high frost resistance and can withstand temperatures up to -18°C, allowing the collection of fresh leaves throughout the winter. The leaves have a delicate, slightly nutty taste with a slight bitterness characteristic of kale. Curly is rich in vitamins C, A, B1, calcium, and also contains all nine essential and eighteen non-essential amino acids, making it a valuable source of plant protein. In addition, the composition includes the essential fatty acid Omega-3, necessary for the health of the organism.
Cabbage Curly is versatile in application: it can be consumed fresh, used for preparing various dishes, or as a meat replacement due to its high protein content. The calorie content is about 50 kcal per 100 grams. To maintain freshness, it is recommended to store leaves at a temperature from +4°C to +6°C, storage period - up to 7 days. When frozen, the taste of the cabbage becomes even sweeter and less bitter, making it especially attractive for winter consumption.
