The Orator F1, a 2025 release from Syngenta, is a high-vigor white cabbage hybrid designed for professional farming. Its robust architecture and large outer leaves necessitate precise agronomic management to maximize yield potential.

Cultivation Guidelines

• Planting Density: Due to the large diameter of the plant (including outer leaves), a planting density of 35,000 to 40,000 plants per hectare is recommended to ensure optimal airflow and light penetration. The upright position of the outer leaves facilitates easier mechanical weeding and maintenance.
• Soil and Nutrition: This hybrid thrives in fertile, well-drained soils. Given its vigorous growth, nitrogen application is crucial during the early vegetative phase. As the head begins to set, shifting focus to potassium-heavy fertilizers will enhance head density and post-harvest shelf life.
• Water Management: The strong waxy bloom on the grey-green leaves acts as a natural defense against moisture loss and pests. However, Orator is highly responsive to consistent drip irrigation. Avoiding water stress during the head-filling stage is critical to achieving the hybrid's full genetic potential.

With its moderate leaf blistering and medium-length external stem, the plant remains stable and productive throughout the season, even under heavy head weight.
