Buckwheat Dialog

Growing Buckwheat: The 'Dialog' Perspective

For a farm manager, the choice of a buckwheat variety is defined by operational efficiency. 'Dialog', developed through a collaboration between the FNC of Legumes and Cereal Crops and international partners, is engineered to minimize fieldwork complexity. Its standout feature is its mechanical reliability during the harvest season, which is a major pain point for many operators.

Field Performance and Maintenance

The primary advantage of 'Dialog' is its high resistance to lodging. For an operator, this means you can maintain consistent speed with your combine, leading to cleaner grain samples and significantly lower harvesting losses. You won't spend half your time adjusting headers for downed crop or dealing with frequent blockages.

• Growth Cycle: Ranges from 70 to 100 days, providing flexibility in planting schedules and rotation planning.
• Disease Management: Strong resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis) and ascochyta blight allows for a reduction in fungicide applications, directly lowering your input costs.
• Harvesting Ease: Uniform ripening ensures that once the settings on your threshing unit are dialed in, you can process the entire field with minimal downtime.

When you choose 'Dialog', you are opting for a crop that fits into a modern, mechanized workflow. It provides predictable throughput during the cleaning phase and simplifies logistics. For operators who prioritize efficiency, this variety offers a reliable return on investment through reduced maintenance needs and consistent yield quality.
