Beans Sokilchanka

Technical Specifications: 'Sokilchanka' Beans

Developed by the Institute of Sugar Beets of the UAAS, this variety represents a precision-bred selection optimized for the climatic conditions of Ukraine. The core value of 'Sokilchanka' lies in its specific morphological grain traits and pod architecture, which directly influence harvest efficiency and yield stability in open-field cultivation.

Morphology and Physiological Potential

• Large-Seeded Architecture: The large-grain type ensures robust germination energy and strong primary root development, providing a crucial head start when soil temperatures are suboptimal.
• Pod Dynamics: The 11–14 cm pod length is calibrated for mechanical harvesting efficiency. The structural integrity of the pods reduces shatter losses during combine operations, ensuring higher yield recovery.
• Seed Quality Marker: The white color of the seeds serves as an indicator of purity and the absence of dark pigments in the seed coat, essential for high-end food processing requirements.

Practical Application: Dual-Purpose Efficiency

The versatility of 'Sokilchanka' is built upon a balanced nutritional profile. For livestock operations, the variety serves as a consistent, high-protein feedstock. For the food industry, it offers a predictable texture and color profile post-processing. Its performance in Ukrainian crop rotations confirms high adaptability to fluctuating humidity levels characteristic of the Forest-Steppe and Polissya regions, maintaining photosynthetic stability under varied environmental stress factors.
