Yužanka is a medium-early variety of common bean, characterized by a vegetation period of 64 to 81 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is bushy, of medium height, with green leaves of medium color intensity and pink flowers. Pods are long, 12-13 cm in length, partially located above the leaves, which facilitates mechanical harvesting. Pod shape varies from elliptical to ovoid, color is green, with no or very weak curvature. Seeds are red with a brown mottled pattern and have an elliptical longitudinal cross-section. The variety is distinguished by high yield, which in the Krasnodar Krai reaches from 25.0 to 33.6 centners per hectare. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 463 to 600 grams, which is approximately 68 grams more than the 'Mechta hozyayki' variety. Protein content in seeds reaches 23.2%, making the bean nutritious and beneficial. Yužanka possesses resistance to bean yellow mosaic virus and bean bacterial blight, as well as immunity to anthracnose, ensuring crop stability and reducing the need for intensive plant protection. Bean Yužanka is distinguished by excellent taste qualities and versatility of use. Pods are fiberless, making them especially attractive for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and freezing. The high placement of lower pods and lack of overgrowth during a long period allow for effective use of the variety in various agrotechnical conditions and ensure ease of harvest collection.
