Kisia is a mid-maturing variety of vegetable bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), characterized by a bush plant type with a stem height of 35 to 45 cm. Leaves are dark green with moderate wrinkling. Fruiting begins 45-50 days after germination, allowing for a harvest in a relatively short time. The plant is compact and highly productive, making it convenient for growing in various conditions.
Kisia beans have a green color and a flat-round shape, 10 to 14 cm long. They do not contain a parchment layer or fibers, which ensures a pleasant texture and high taste qualities. The weight of 100 beans is about 500 g, and the weight of 1000 seeds is approximately 230 g. The height of attachment of lower beans reaches 15 cm, which facilitates harvest collection. The yield of green beans can reach up to 120 centners per hectare, indicating the high productivity of the variety.
The Kisia variety is recommended for use in cooking due to excellent taste qualities. Green beans are suitable for both fresh consumption and the preparation of various canned salads. Due to the absence of fibers and a parchment layer, the beans retain tenderness and a pleasant taste after thermal processing. This Ukrainian variety is excellent for growing on personal subsidiary holdings and ensures a stable and quality harvest.
