Barley Obereg

Predictable Performance in Every Field

The 'Oberih' barley, developed by the Vinnytsia State Agricultural Research Station, is a top choice for agronomists prioritizing reliability. This Ukrainian-bred variety is engineered to thrive in local soil and climatic conditions, removing the uncertainty often associated with high-maintenance foreign imports.

Field Operations and Efficiency

When it comes to operations, 'Oberih' is highly commendable. The variety features excellent stalk uniformity, which makes harvesting straightforward. Combine harvesters operate smoothly, ensuring low machine stress and minimal grain loss. The crop displays strong resistance to lodging, a critical factor for maintaining efficiency during the harvest window.

Key Management Guidelines

• Harvest Safety: A crucial operational parameter is the 30-day pre-harvest interval (PHI) for the final crop protection application. This ensures that the grain meets safety standards without sacrificing disease control effectiveness.
• Nutrient Response: The variety shows a robust response to mineral nutrition, allowing for high thousand-kernel weight and stable yield potential across fertile soils.
• Economic Edge: Utilizing local Ukrainian genetics allows for lower input costs compared to international hybrids, significantly improving the net profitability per hectare.

If you need a variety that minimizes the risk of crop failure and allows for streamlined field operations, 'Oberih' is a solid, proven component for your rotation strategy.
