The herbicide Obereg is a systemic agent for effective control of annual and perennial grass weeds. The active ingredient of the product — cyclohexanedione-p-ethyl at a concentration of 90 g/L — ensures rapid uptake and easy translocation within the plant. The product accumulates in nodes and underground roots, destroying meristematic tissues and preventing regrowth of weeds. Weed mortality occurs within 7–10 days after application, enabling rapid control of unwanted vegetation.
Obereg is effective against a wide range of grass weeds, including chickweed, creeping foxtail, millet, foxtail, foxtail grass, sorghum, crabgrass, wheat, barley, lamb’s quarters, canary grass, knotweed, and sorghum. The product is effective not only when applied to the surface, but also against secondary root growth of perennial weeds, making it indispensable in integrated weed management systems.
Obereg can be used on various crops, including garden strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions, cabbage, sugar beets, sunflowers, potatoes, rapeseed, soybeans, fodder and table beets, flax, hemp, and watermelon. Application rates vary depending on weed type: 6–9 ml per 3–5 liters of water per 100 sq. m. for annual grasses, and 10–15 ml per 3–5 liters of water per 100 sq. m. for perennials. The product does not require the addition of surfactants, simplifying its use.
