Barley Ovation

Stable yields with French genetics

The 'Ovation' barley from Limagrain is a choice for those who prioritize intensive agricultural practices and predictable results. French breeding here focuses not on extreme yields in perfect conditions, but on plant plasticity—the ability to resist the main threats faced by spring crops.

Protection built into the DNA

The key differentiator of this hybrid is its resistance to pathogens. In conditions of high humidity or sharp temperature fluctuations, 'Ovation' demonstrates high tolerance to rust and powdery mildew. This is not just a saving on fungicides; it is an insurance policy against the loss of grain marketability, which is critical for successful commercialization.

• Biological potential: It responds excellently to nitrogen fertilizer application, effectively converting them into high-quality ears.
• Adaptability: The variety handles stressful germination conditions well, which is particularly important during late or dry stages of spring sowing.
• Grain quality: High protein content makes it sought-after in both animal feed production and the processing industry.

Who is this variety for?

'Ovation' is optimal for farms practicing intensive agriculture and working with high-quality planting material. If your goal is to reduce the risks of fungal diseases without slowing down the crop's growth, Limagrain has provided a solution that works consistently from season to season. It is a reliable workhorse that requires a proper agronomic background but fully justifies the investment in management and care.
