Spring barley variety Rubezh is a medium-maturing multi-row variety intended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including Crimea and the Northern zone of the Krasnodar Krai. The plant is of medium height with an erect cylindrical ear, characterized by density and a weak waxy coating. The vegetative period lasts from 232 to 265 days, allowing the variety to successfully adapt to the features of the growing region.
Seeds of the Rubezh variety have high germination energy and ensure stable yield, reaching according to the breeder more than 100 centners per hectare, while the maximum registered yield is 83.2 c/ha. Barley is characterized by high resistance to lodging and winter hardiness at the level of the standard, making it a reliable choice for agricultural production. The grain is semi-elongated, medium size, with protein content ranging from 8.1% to 14.1%, which allows it to be used both for grain production and for feed purposes.
The Rubezh variety is widely used in agriculture for sowing to obtain quality grain and feed. Due to its characteristics, such as high yield, climate adaptability, and resistance to unfavorable conditions, it is popular among producers striving for stable and efficient winter barley cultivation.
