Barley — is a high-quality brewing barley grown and used by the company 'Obolon', one of the leading beer producers in Ukraine. The company independently cultivates barley on large areas, enabling control over raw material quality and ensuring stable supplies for its own needs. To enhance quality and product variety, elite seeds are purchased from Czech Republic, France and Germany, which confirms the high standard of cultivated barley.
From 'Obolon' barley, light brewing malt is produced, which is characterized by good saccharification and can provide up to 50% saccharification of unmalted raw material in total charge. This malt has a light and non-intrusive aroma, allowing other beer components to be expressed and making it suitable as a base for both light and various dark beer styles. The high quality of malt meets European standards and does not fall short of imported analogues.
The company's production capacity allows the production of more than 170 thousand tons of malt per year, indicating the scale and reliability of production. Thanks to a comprehensive approach — from barley cultivation to malt production — 'Obolon' ensures stable quality of raw material and final product, making it one of the leaders in the Ukrainian brewing raw material market.
